About 400 BJ’s Team Members spent an afternoon assembling 15,000 hygiene kits for Clean the World® as part of the nonprofit’s ONE Project. Through this program, BJ’s put together kits that included soap, shampoo, conditioner, lotion, toothbrush, toothpaste, washcloth, razor, and an inspirational note card. The hygiene kits will be distributed to people in need across BJ’s 15-state footprint.

This volunteer effort was held during BJ’s annual Team Member conference to honor one of the company’s core values: Community. The volunteer event was an opportunity for BJ’s to partner with an organization that shares its dedication of giving back. Clean the World was chosen due to its two-part mission: to reduce waste by collecting and recycling soap and shampoo from the hotel industry, and to distribute these and other hygiene products to impoverished people worldwide. These life-saving hygiene products play a part in preventing the millions of hygiene-related deaths that occur every day.
