Bacardi Supports the Stockholm Water Prize

With a strong conviction to drive sustainability and protection of water, Bacardi proudly wears the title of founding member of the Stockholm Water Prize. This global award is presented annually by the Stockholm International Water Institute (SIWI) to an individual, organization or institution for outstanding water-related achievements during World Water Week which is celebrated August 28 – September 2.

This year, the award was presented to Professor Joan Rose of the United States for her tireless contributions to assessing risks to human health in water and creating guidelines and tools for decision-makers and communities to improve global health.

Global Environmental, Health & Safety Director Rodolfo Nervi represented Bacardi during the event. Rodolfo, along with members of Global Operations and Global Corporate Communications work on the Bacardi Limited Good Spirited environmental sustainability initiative, which among its goals includes a focus on water reduction programs.
