Nestlé Waters North America today will host its annual “Thanks for Giving” luncheon to commemorate employees’ volunteer efforts and commitment to supporting local communities and organizations. Fourteen local, non-profit organizations, including Americares, American Red Cross, Boys and Girls Club of Stamford and United Way, will participate in the celebration.

Family Volunteer Day, powered by generationOn, the youth service division of Points of Light, and sponsored by The Walt Disney Company, is a day of service that demonstrates and celebrates the power of families who volunteer together, supporting their communities and neighborhoods.

Today, thanks to the philanthropic support of our donors, children are being helped with their schoolwork, tucked in and told they are loved. But our mission is far from complete. There are thousands more children with futures full of possibilities.

At the 2016 Film Festival, athenahealth won Best in Show for its video titled, "athenaGives: Connecting Care for the Uninsured," show how athenahealth provides donations of its network-enabled services to eligible free clinics across the country, including New Braunfels Volunteers in Medicine.

Tom and Steve Church, founders of Church Brothers Farms, were recently awarded the Produce Marketers for All Seasons award during this year’s Fresh Summit. The award recognizes the legacy of service and innovation that Tom and Steve have demonstrated for more than 45 years, making them a pretty big deal in Salinas Valley agriculture.
