AEG, the world’s leading live entertainment company, has teamed up with Diversify The Stage (DTS), an organization formed to promote inclusivity in the live entertainment and touring industry, and recently signed the DTS Inclusion Initiative pledge, which launched Nov. 30.

“AEG is proud to stand with Diversify the Stage and is taking deliberate steps to intentionally create more diversity and build more inclusion within our company,” said Jae Pi’ilani Requiro, Vice President of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, AEG. “We believe that talent is everywhere, and we must work together to provide more access for people who are underrepresented and foster a culture of belonging so everyone can thrive.”

Formed by Noelle Scaggs, singer for the group Fitz and the Tantrums, DTS is a network of industry professionals, and community engagement organizations collectively working to build a culture of accountability to establish more inclusive hiring practices and greater access to equitable opportunities in live music, events, and touring industries.

The “Diversify The Stage” Inclusion Initiative provides guidance and recommendations aimed towards specific objectives on Inclusion, Diversity, Equity and Access (I.D.E.A) in support of furthering the DTS mission of emphasizing inclusion for Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC); Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Queer (LGBTQIA+); Female-Identifying, Gender Nonconforming individuals and Disabled Persons, across all stages.

DTS encourages considering these measures during recruitment, talent bookings, on-boarding, retention, promotion, rewards, benefits programs, succession planning and off-boarding procedures.
