LOS ANGELES, Nov. 14, 2013 /3BL Media/ — AECOM Technology Corporation, a leading provider of professional technical and management support services for public and private clients in more than 140 countries around the world, announced today that it has been recognized with two bronze International Business Awards (IBA) in the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Program of the Year category.

The IBA’s are the world’s premier business awards program and the CSR award acknowledges AECOM’s contributions to society and stakeholders through its programs in the Middle East and Africa, as well as in Canada and the United States. These programs are structured around five strategic areas — community development, education and training, basic human needs, health and well-being, and the natural environment.

“What makes AECOM special is our people, and this award is a testament to our employees globally who day in and day out give of themselves in supporting CSR efforts through volunteerism after they finish serving their clients,” said Gregory Sauter, executive vice president and chief corporate officer. “Like every other aspect of AECOM, our aspiration for our CSR program is to be the best and a differentiator for us — and this award validates that we are making good progress."

In 2012, AECOM remained dedicated to charitable giving with more than US$3.6 million in donations made to philanthropic organizations around the world. The company’s global network of employees also volunteered thousands of hours to help disadvantaged communities through Engineers Without Borders, Water For People, Just a Drop, the Red Cross, the Maasai Wilderness Conservation Trust and other non-profit organizations.
