The Ray has delivered a comprehensive formal response to the U.S. Department of Transportation’s (USDOT) Request for Information (RFI) regarding a national Transportation Digital Infrastructure (TDI) strategy.
RPD Energy arranged the supply of wind energy and concurrent Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs) for five LG Electronics USA facilities in Texas, Illinois and New Jersey. The LG facilities are being served under the unique Purely Green affinity program partnership launched this year by RPD Energy, Intuit, Hudson Energy (the Commercial Division of Just Energy), and EDP Renewables.
“LG applauds this innovative approach. Purely Green has removed common barriers to accessing renewable energy,” said John I. Taylor, Senior Vice President, Public Affairs, LG Electronics USA. “RPD Energy and Hudson Energy created a unique structure that made it possible for LG to buy wind power on short-term contracts for these five distribution centers with economical pricing.”
The warehouse will have an integrated Schneider Electric EcoStruxure™ Microgrid and EcoStruxure Building Operation solution that runs on 100% renewable energy.

Jill Manning Hudkins is Tetra Tech’s One Water Initiative leader. She has 25 years of consulting engineering experience and is responsible for the development and implementation of many of Tetra Tech’s large water supply, conveyance, and treatment programs.
Bryan Stirrat heads Tetra Tech’s Solid Waste Practice Group and has more than 35 years of experience in landfill planning, design, operation, and closure. A respected authority on innovative landfill gas management and landfill closure strategies, he has been Principal Engineer on projects at more than 250 landfills in North America and the Pacific.
Dr. Eduardo Yassuda has extensive experience related to coastal and oceanographic engineering, modeling of hydrodynamics, water quality, and ecological processes in coastal and estuarine systems. He has been actively involved in the implementation and improvements of more than a dozen hydrodynamic and water quality models for locations worldwide.
Shane Gerkin is a project engineer with Glumac, A Tetra Tech Company, based in Irvine, California. As part of Tetra Tech’s High Performance Buildings Group, he specializes in sustainable design projects for state and local municipalities, and commercial clients. On November 28, 2018, community officials, the Liberian government, and officials from the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) celebrated the dedication of the Sanniquellie City water treatment plant. As part of the USAID Liberia Municipal Water Project (LMWP), Tetra Tech designed a solar-powered water treatment plant and public distribution system, placing kiosks within 500 meters of homes to reduce the time families spend collecting water to under 30 minutes. This is one of the largest solar-powered treatment plants in Liberia and West Africa.
