Wells Fargo Blog: Restoring the Lost Pines
Nonprofits like TreeFolks in Texas have restored habitats, planted trees, and engaged volunteers, thanks to the Wells Fargo Environmental Solutions grant program which awarded $15 million in Environmental Solutions for Communities grants between 2012 and 2016. Grantees used the funds to restore more than 94,000 acres of habitat, plant more than a million trees, and engage more than 900,000 volunteers in land and water conservation, environmental education, and water efficiency. AEG welcomed more than 30 students from Pasadena’s John Muir High School to its global headquarters in downtown Los Angeles on Wednesday, April 26 for the first Arroyo Seco Weekend Job Shadow Day. As part of AEG’s community outreach initiative with Pasadena Unified School District in conjunction with Arroyo Seco Weekend in Pasadena, Calif. in June, students were exposed to the company’s many facets of the sports and entertainment industry and received advice on future career paths.
