The COP21 Paris Agreement on climate change is a historic milestone that signals new global momentum to address the risks of climate change. However, to meet its environmental targets, it will be necessary to achieve net zero emissions globally between 2050 and 2100, which means a complete phase-out of fossil fuels.

Sustainalytics, a sustainability research and analysis firm, has come up with its new thematic research report on the issue, 10 for 2016 – The Paris Agreement: Triumph of the Optimists. The report offers a top-down assessment of the COP21 Summit agreement and a bottom-up analysis of 10 companies Sustainalytics believes are getting ahead of the climate change curve.
