Sustainability at AECOM: Keeping our People Safe

Jun 25, 2014 10:00 AM ET

AECOM strives to be a good corporate citizen by ensuring that its facilities and operations do not pose unreasonable safety or environmental risks. The company recently implemented its "Safety for Life" program coupled with nine “Life-Preserving Principles” that reinforce the importance of safety, health and the environment to both employees and partners.

Reflecting the program's success, the company’s total recordable injury rate improved by 22 percent during fiscal year 2013. This indicates a reduction in work-related incidents that result in injury and/or ill health requiring medical attention beyond first-aid, restriction of work activities and/or absence from the workplace in order to recover.
