Special Olympics Puerto Rico National Team Travel to the World Games in Los Angeles
Last week, JetBlue welcomed home the 2015 Special Olympics Puerto Rico National Team delegation from the World Games in Los Angeles. The team traveled from San Juan to LA to compete for medal contention.
As the official sponsor of the Puerto Rico Special Olympics team and the largest airline in Puerto Rico, JetBlue was very proud to provide travel for the group. The Puerto Rico team consisted of 55 athletes, 21 coaches, and two delegates who competed in a variety of events - swimming, athletics, gymnastics, tennis, basketball, softball, bowling and bocce. The Team was extremely successful in their competition, returning home with more than 50 medals in all of their events!
