Seventy-Five Percent of Schneider Electric Revenues Come with Eco Labeled Products

Life cycle assessment (LCA) has gained significant traction in BUILDING sector in the last 10 years as a tool for evaluating the environmental performance of products. That’s what a last survey done by Schneider Electric with more than 1500 customers around the world shows.

According to the survey, customers increase their interest to green products due to:

  1. The need to have long lasting and repairable products to secure their assets and ensure continuity of operations
  2. The need to have toxic free products to comply with Regulations, cope with Business Requirements

The survey concludes Sustainable Offer Performance is an important driver when making business decision, and ~50% Customers are ready to pay more for superior product reparability and serviceability.

Schneider Electric is being on the lead of it. The company has launched a label called Green Premium to identify products complying with most demanding hazardous substances regulations and that have a complete environmental profile available. 75% of company revenue comes from Green Premium and new products are developed with Schneider EcoDesign Way.
