Protecting women and families

Sanofi Pasteur and its employees consistently contribute to Women’s Resources of Monroe County (WRMC), an organization that works to end domestic and sexual violence for all local women, children and men.

“As an abuse survivor, I could have run away from my experience and never acknowledged it again,” Sanofi Pasteur’s Anita Smith said. “Instead, I wanted to use it to help others. That’s why I became an advocate for WRMC.” Anita now volunteers with WRMC, lending her support to the mergency hotline and her finance expertise as a member of their Board of Directors. Anita also represents Sanofi Pasteur in the current Leadership Pocono class.

Sanofi Pasteur’s Robert Shiner, director, Security, has also volunteered at WRMC, “paying forward” the security training he has received at Sanofi Pasteur to help keep WRMC clients safe.

Anita’s and Robert’s efforts are echoed on a corporate level as Sanofi Pasteur has donated thousands of dollars, supporting a variety of WRMC causes during the last decade.
