(3BLMedia/theCSRfeed) January 10, 2011 - This Leonardo Academy training course covers the key knowledge areas for the LEED® Green Associate exam and the information needed to be an effective participant in the green building marketplace, including what you need to know about:

  • Sustainability

  • Sustainable buildings

  • LEED® (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design)

  • U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC)

  • The Green Building Certification Institute (GBCI)

  • The LEED® Green Associate Exam

Participants will fully understand the core concepts required for the LEED® Green Associate exam, and feel confident in their pursuit of LEED® Green Associate credentialing. Leonardo Academy’s training approach cultivates a dynamic interaction with participants and provides opportunities for all four key modes of learning: auditory, visual, written, and via experience through open discussion and in response to the review questions.

The GBCI’s new LEED® Green Associate credential represents that individuals have a basic knowledge of green building principles and practices and LEED.LEED® GA is for individuals that support green buildings in their regular professional work but do not need the detailed knowledge of particular LEED rating systems that would be documented by a rating system specific credential. Examples could include those who sell products that can contribute to LEED certification of buildings or those who sell or deliver services like green cleaning who want to have a general overall understanding of sustainable buildings and LEED.   Register here!   Presenters: Kara Edmonson, LEED AP O+M   Kara Edmonson joined Leonardo Academy in 2007, bringing six years of previous experience with natural areas restoration and urban environmental issues.
