Launch of a Sustainability Assessment and Improvement Strategy Development for the Fire Suppression Industry

(3BLMedia/theCSRfeed) Madison, Wisconsin - November 16, 2010 - Leonardo Academy has released an overview report of the issues involved in assessing and improving the sustainability of fire suppression.

As part of its Fire Suppression Sustainability Program, Leonardo Academy today released a draft report titled: “Sustainability Assessment and Improvement Strategy Development for the Fire Suppression Industry: An Overview of Issues”.

The report was released as a working draft based on the premise that effective fire protection can be achieved with less impact on the environment and increased sustainability.  This draft has  several  goals:  1) to stimulate discussion of the issues of fire protection sustainability; 2) to begin the process of identifying and quantifying the sustainability impacts of the fire suppression industry; and 3) to begin the process of identifying strategies for increasing the sustainability of the fire suppression industry.
