Griffith Foods & The Social Gastronomy Movement: The Power of Sustainable Collaboration Models to Create Circular Food Waste Products

Jun 7, 2021 6:00 PM ET

Topic:
Griffith Foods and the Social Gastronomy movement host dialogue focused on the power of sustainable collaboration models to create circular food waste products. This is part of their independent dialogue series in preparation for the UN Food Systems Summit.

Description:
Solutions of the future will not be unilaterally designed, developed, sourced, manufactured, and distributed for the population we are looking to serve – and as everyone here knows it must be done collectively with NGOs, members of the community, start-ups and governments aligned to develop sustainable, market-based solutions. We see the role of philanthropy – there will always be a need to provide donations in a time of need but they can’t be at the cost of inclusion in economic opportunity for communities that are suffering from malnutrition or lack of access to food because of poverty. Can we break the cycle of hunger and poverty?
