CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA, December 11, 2014 /3BL Media/ —The Walmart Foundation has awarded a $25,000 grant to GreenBlue, an environmental nonprofit dedicated to the sustainable use of materials in society, to support the How2Recycle Label Program.  How2Recycle is an on-package labeling system created to provide clear, consistent recycling information to consumers.  This gift will support How2Recycle’s continued success by enabling program growth and development.

“We are excited to receive this gift and vote of confidence in How2Recycle”, said Project Manager Danielle Peacock. “We expect to make great strides in 2015, and contributions like those from the Walmart Foundation are vital in helping us reach our goals. The Walmart Foundation’s gift helps support clearer, on-package recycling instructions to improve the quantity and quality of recycled materials. How2Recycle helps consumers close the loop on material recovery, helping both people and the planet. The grant will help us continue to expand the program, and get closer to our goal of creating a nationally harmonized label.”
