(3BLMedia/theCSRfeed) Winterpark, FL - JULY 22, 2010 - Green Awakening Coffee (, an inclusive and socially responsible, fair trade, organic coffee company announced today that it has expanded its roster of non-profit partners. Green Awakening donates approximately 30% of the proceeds from every bag of coffee sold.

The program was initially launched with TransFair USA as the charter non-profit partner.  TransFair USA’s participation in this program has garnered much attention and underscores the value of the partnerships. 

Green Awakening Non-Profit Partners include:

TransFair USA: 
TransFair USA enables sustainable development and community empowerment by cultivating a more equitable global trade model that benefits farmers, workers, consumers, industry and the earth. They achieve their mission by certifying and promoting Fair Trade products.

International Fund for Animal Welfare:          
IFAW saves animals in crisis around the world. With projects in more than forty countries, IFAW rescues individual animals, works to prevent cruelty to animals, and advocates for the protection of wildlife and habitats.
Breast Cancer Action:   
BCA’s mission is to carry the voices of people affected by breast cancer to inspire and compel the changes necessary to end the breast cancer epidemic.

Green Awakening will donate $2.50 per bag of coffee sold to the non-profit organization selected upon checkout.  To support any of these non-profits, at the time of checkout on, choose your selected non-profit from the drop down list where it says “Click here to select a community initiative or charity to benefit from your purchase”.

Green Awakening allocates approximately 30% of every sale it makes to non-profit contributions.  All coffee is grown exclusively by small, local cooperatives in the mountains of Peru.

Green Awakening works directly with small cooperatives to source organically grown coffee, which results in an increase in farmer income by at least 30% when compared with farmer sales to importers. Additionally, a core focus of Green Awakening is to improve the lives of women and their social, economic and political status within their communities.
