In May, Great American Country, HGTV and DIY Network partnered with Rebuilding Together at the 2014 National Healthy Homes Conference in Nashville. The conference educated attendees about products, policies and improvements for healthier homes and addressed the value of living in a healthy home. Government employees and TV personalities from HGTV and DIY spoke at various conference tracks.

Country music star Casey James performed his single “Crying on a Suitcase” as a thank you to the volunteers who helped with Building a Healthy Neighborhood project. Ayla Brown also performed her song “Ain’t Leaving Anything Here.”

On Sunday, attendees could volunteer for the Building a Healthy Neighborhood event where participants made a deserving Nashville neighborhood safer and healthier. Chris Grundy, host of DIY Network’s Blog Cabin, and Matt Muenster, host of DIY Network’s Bath Crashers, helped volunteers work on 15 homes in the chosen neighborhood.
