In 1980, Intel began manufacturing microcontrollers on 4-inch wafers at Fab 6 in Chandler – building the foundation for what is now Intel’s largest manufacturing site in the world, and home to 12,000 of the brightest Arizonans defining the future of technology.

In celebration of our 40th anniversary here, Intel and the Intel Foundation are joining forces with the Arizona Educational Foundation to award 40 grants of up to $2,500 to 40 public school teachers from across the state to support science, technology, education, arts, and mathematics (STEAM) projects and initiatives.

“These teacher grants will deepen the positive impact of our state’s teachers and inspire more students to consider careers in STEAM fields. No matter if the need is big or small, we encourage all teachers to apply,” shared Kim Graham, Executive Director of the Arizona Educational Foundation.

Investing in education and in our community is an investment in our community’s future. We are so proud of the ecosystem of innovation that we’ve helped build here in Arizona, and we’re excited to support Arizona teachers, who are inspiring the next generation of innovators and leaders.

Grant eligibility, criteria, and the online application are available at https://www.azedfoundation.org/intel40for40. The application window closes March 6, 2020.

We hope you’ll encourage your favorite Arizona teacher to apply!
