WESTBOROUGH, Mass., June 29, 2016 /3BL Media/ – BJ’s Wholesale Club, in recognition of the contributions made by active and veteran military personnel, today announced its support of “Salute to Veterans,” a broadcast television series that will highlight the sacrifices made for our country by distinguished veterans. The premier will focus on the personal stories of former athletes and will air on national networks, Sunday, July 3rd and Monday, July 4th: local listings can be checked for viewers to learn where and when to tune in. The website will include information and updates about the broadcasts. The series’ social medium handle—#MySaluteToVeterans—also encourages Americans to make public salutes to active duty military persons and Veterans on the program’s Twitter and Facebook pages.

“We are proud to support ‘Salute to Veterans’ and to honor our community members who are serving or have served in the military," said Bari Harlam, Executive Vice President of Marketing and Membership at BJ’s Wholesale Club. “We hope our support will help influence important conversation about the challenges veterans encounter and showcase innovative ways to meaningfully help our military.”

The Salute to Veterans series is an inspirational program that engages in meaningful dialogue about the most pressing societal issues our nation’s 25 million veterans, 3.3 million active duty service members and their families face, including: employment, unemployment and underemployment; overcoming injuries; continuing education; accessing affordable housing; and filling the need for community leaders. “Salute to Veterans” is not only a title of the program series, but it is a call to action around the country for much deserved gratitude to be consistently given to our past and present troops, in light of their sacrifices made for freedom, liberty and safety.  The broadcast series and #MySaluteToVeterans aims to transform national military observances days, as not just holidays, but honor-days, when these important issues should be top of mind.

Honor programs from companies like BJ’s also offer discounted memberships to past and present military personnel. To further show its appreciation to the military personnel, BJ’s offers 30% off their membership, plus a $10 coupon. Visit to learn more.
