Amazon Commits to 100% Clean Energy for Cloud Services

The world’s largest cloud-computing company, Amazon, has made a major commitment to run its cloud services entirely on renewable energy. With this comprehensive environmental pledge, Amazon has finally chosen to follow the same path as already taken by tech giants Google, Apple, and Facebook.

This is Amazon’s first significant move into clean energy, and represents a potential breakthrough towards building a green Internet. Amazon Web Services (AWS) provides cloud services to customers such as Netflix, Spotify, and Pinterest. With this commitment, the company will help these customers achieve reduced carbon footprints and less environmental waste.
