Pursuing Alliance for Water Stewardship: Building Resilience for our Shared Wat…

Webinar Information

March 3, 2022 /3BL Media/ - With the sharp focus on the impact climate change has on the water cycle and how this translates to water-related business risks, it is still very clear that the collective “we” are not doing enough to address our global water crisis. Through Antea Group’s water stewardship work in many different industries across the globe, we understand that site-based actions such as efficiency measures, while a good start, are not enough. How can making your facility extremely water-efficient and improving your facility’s wastewater discharge make an impact if other water users within your catchment grab the extra water and then discharge polluted effluent? Leading by example, while commendable, is not enough; it is clear more work must be done.

That is where water stewardship, and specifically, the Alliance for Water Stewardship (AWS) Standard can help. The AWS Standard provides an accessible “how to” framework of actions required on your own site and goes beyond your “four walls” to work with others in the catchment to address shared water risks and challenges.

Join us Thursday, March 31, at 10:00am EDT (15:00 BST), as we facilitate a live panel discussion, Pursuing Alliance for Water Stewardship: Building Resilience for Our Shared Water Resources. Global water leaders from the Alliance for Water Stewardship, as well as water sustainability experts from Antea Group, will discuss the AWS Standard and how they’ve helped companies align with and prepare for certification. You will hear different perspectives on why AWS is important, lessons learned along the way, and best practices for engaging with stakeholders. Our panelists will also share success stories of how they helped certify companies with the standard and how this has led to improved water resiliency.

We hope you will be able to join us!
