All students deserve an equal and fair opportunity at a quality education. Lack of resources and supplies impede many students’ ability to learn and engage in the classroom. Subaru and its retailers are making a difference by helping students access the supplies they need to learn.

In our two years of partnership with Subaru and its retailers, we’ve supported more than 300,000 students in elementary, middle, and high school classrooms nationwide.

Subaru: Helping Schools And Students In Need

93% of teachers said what they need most right now is funding on AdoptAClassroom.org, according to AdoptAClassroom.org’s State of Teaching Survey. Teachers are spending an average of $750 of their own money on school supplies, more than ever before. Teachers are working to catch their students up academically after years of lost learning due to the Covid-19 pandemic; with Subaru’s help, they can get the materials they need.

This August, Subaru retailers are celebrating Subaru Loves Learning Month by supporting more than 20,400 classrooms nationwide.

Showing Teachers Love, One Classroom at a Time

In 2021, more than 600 Subaru retailers nationwide partnered with AdoptAClassroom.org to provide flexible funding to teachers in their communities. Teachers who received a donation from their local Subaru retailer were able to choose and purchase the supplies they needed for their classrooms through the AdoptAClassroom.org marketplace.

Kara is a teacher in New Jersey in an inclusion classroom with special needs and general education students. Her classroom was one of the more than 5,400 classrooms supported by a local Subaru retailer in 2021.

“I just want to thank my local Subaru retailer for donating to my classroom,” Kara said. “We use the items we purchased on a daily basis. It’s really heartwarming that my students were able to get these supplies that we wouldn’t be able to provide for them without my local Subaru retailer.”

Trenice is a middle school teacher in Savannah, GA whose classroom was adopted in 2021. “I appreciate Subaru’s support,” she said. “I appreciate all Subaru has done to help teachers. It takes a village to help our students grow and succeed in life.”

With Subaru’s support this year, more students will have the resources they need to thrive in their school environment.

Subaru believes in making learning accessible to as many students as possible. Adopting classrooms through Subaru Loves Learning is just one of the ways they are doing even more this year to make a difference. Learn more about Subaru Loves Learning here.

With Your Help, We Can Do Even More

During Subaru Loves Learning month, August 1-31, 2022, Subaru will match your online donation to this AdoptAClassroom.org fundraiser* dollar-for-dollar, up to $350,000 in total. Your gift will provide even more teachers with the flexible funding they need to help their students start the school year off right. AdoptAClassroom.org will make an equitable distribution of all funds donated through this program to help teachers at high-needs schools nationwide. Give to AdoptAClassroom.org here.

*Note: In order to receive this match, donations must be made to this fundraising page: https://subaruloveslearning.org/helpusdomore. Donations to individual classroom pages will not be matched.
