LAGUNA NIGUEL, Cailf., April 30, 2013 /3BL Media/ - Jonathan K. Hsu, CEO of Recyclebank®, the company that rewards people for taking everyday green actions with discounts and deals, will discuss how consumer awareness and education can play a role in doubling America’s recycling rate in the next five years today at the Fortune Brainstorm GREEN conference. This is Hsu’s second time participating in the conference on business and sustainability that looks at how businesses can profitably solve big environmental problems. With a focus this year on sustainable solutions, Hsu’s session, “Recycling: How do we double America’s recycling rate in five years?”, brings together 12 top recycling and sustainability executives who will workshop to provide pragmatic actions and solutions that companies can take to increase recycling rates.

During the conference, Hsu will present a concept on how to educate consumers in a way that he believes can help America double its recycling rate. Each of the other 11 leaders will also offer ideas on how to double recycling rates touching on recycling infrastructure, financing and policy and e-waste or other separate streams.

Once all 12 participants have discussed their plans, the group will vote on the most interesting ideas and spend the remaining time in breakout sessions bringing those solutions to life. At the end of the session, participants will come back together and discuss what actions each company can commit to.
