The Ultimate Sport for the Mind, 2013 FIRST Robotics Competition Championship
The Bionic Barrons, a team comprised of an alliance between students at Andover and Lahser High Schools in Bloomfield Hills, Mich., are headed to the 2013 FIRST Robotics Competition Championship this week in St. Louis, Mo.
With team names like “Killer Bees,” Bionic Barons” and “More Martians,” a dedicated following of high school-aged “techies” happily sacrifice hundreds of hours of their spare time to conceive, design and build some very sophisticated robots and their futures.
