L’Oréal USA Employees Give Back in Local Communities Across the Nation

3,000 + employees volunteer their time and talents to help others and give back

(3BLMedia/theCSRfeed) NEW YORK, NY - June 23, 2010 - Today, L’Oréal USA employees will roll up their sleeves to help those in need in their local communities. More than 3,000 employees at the company’s facilities across the country, and 550 employees in New York City, will engage in more than 12,000 hours of service. The second annual Employee Volunteer Day is an effort to give back to the communities in which the company operates and help make the lives of those less fortunate a little more beautiful.    From North Little Rock, Arkansas to New Brunswick, New Jersey, L’Oréal USA employees will be engaged in a variety of volunteer projects including helping unemployed adults prepare to enter the workforce, making and delivering meals for the homebound, assembling and distributing children’s bicycles to kids in need, or raking, mulching and weeding local parks.   “At L’Oréal, we know that socially responsible initiatives and programs like these are fundamental to our company’s continued growth and success,” said Frédéric Rozé, President and CEO, L’Oréal USA. “We are a company of caring and compassionate people and I am proud to lead a team that so genuinely wants to make a difference in the lives of others.”   The company has been recognized by many leading organizations and rating agencies for its ethical standards of behavior and its commitment to operating a sustainable business which provides for the triple bottom line – economic growth, environmental respect and social responsibility.
