Junior Achievement (JA) is an international not-for-profit organization that teaches students about workforce readiness, entrepreneurship and financial literacy through experiential programs.  Along with board membership, over 1200 Ernst & Young LLP people volunteer with JA through:

  • JA “Done In A Day”
  • Bowl-a-thons
  • Judging business plan competitions

On March 14, 2012, Junior Achievement recognized Ernst & Young as a bronze level 2010-2011 U.S. President’s Volunteer Service Award—one of 20 presented. During the year, Ernst & Young provided JA with more than 5000 volunteer hours and substantial support from our board members across the US. In this video, Ernst & Young partner Gary Kozlowski shares his excitement over the award and talks of Junior Achievement's alignment with Ernst & Young's values. Employees enjoy volunteering in the classroom because of the impact in the community and opportunities for personal and professional development.
