The web service brings crowd-sourcing technologies to the fingertips of nonprofits - connecting them with individuals and companies interested in giving their time and talents. Today, has helped over 150,000 people microvolunteer their time for nonprofits all over the world.

With their combined passion and expertise in microvolunteering, Colker and Pigato will discuss what corporations need to know about micro, how micro can help companies expand their volunteer programs, and how works. This webinar will prepare CSR professionals and employee volunteer managers to confidently engage in the microvolunteering trend and provide resources to their volunteering communities.

Speaker Profiles: Jacob Colker, Co-Founder, and Joseph Pigato, VP of Business Development

Jacob Colker is a recognized leader in political activism and issue advocacy, and a leading voice in the use of technology for community engagement. Jacob has managed political campaigns in California, Illinois, and Maryland, and he was one of the first field directors in the country to leverage Facebook in a major political campaign to win a statewide election.

Joseph Pigato headed the marketing department for Score Education Corp. before it was acquired by Kaplan, owned by The Washington Post. He then co-founded an online learning and interactive media company in San Francisco, and sold the company to a Sydney-based global training organization, with whom he led projects that won an unprecedented number of industry awards. Joseph has also led web consultancies and social web companies while based in Singapore and Mumbai. He now serves on advisory boards for Mind InFormation, OnTheGo Education, and Facile Studios. Joseph is a graduate of Stanford (BA) and Wharton (MBA).
