July 2, 2021 /3BL Media/ - The Home Depot Foundation announced today it has invested $150,000 to renovate Vets Place Central, a Center for Veterans Issues housing facility that provides 76 transitional residential units for veterans experiencing homelessness.

The Home Depot Foundation and the Center for Veterans Issues will retrofit the units with renewed amenities to provide a safe, comfortable place that veterans can call home. The funds will help with renovations and upgrades to the flooring, mechanical features and bathrooms.

“We are very grateful to have the support from The Home Depot Foundation, as we both are dedicated to helping our nation’s heroes,” said Eduardo M. Garza, Jr., president and CEO of the Center for Veterans Issues. “Their support of military veterans is truly amazing, and we look forward to continuing our partnership to ensure the veterans we serve have a safe and comfortable place to receive support and care.”

To date, the Foundation has invested more than $375 million in veteran causes, including making critical home repairs for combat wounded veterans, providing financial assistance and helping senior veterans age independently in their own homes.
