Helicoid Industries, Ray of Hope Prize Finalist, Designs with Inspiration from …

Helicoid Industries was one of the finalist teams for the 2020 Ray of Hope Prize® we presented with the Biomimicry Institute.

Helicoid is making lighter, stronger, and more impact resistant composites by applying the same internal architecture found in the mantis shrimp’s extremely durable club. Applying the Helicoid® technology reduces raw material use, while creating lighter, more energy efficient components, at an overall lower production cost.
