In 2018, Hurricane Michael left a path of destruction to the communities and natural areas of the Florida Panhandle. Eastman, Georgia-Pacific, and The Longleaf Alliance collaborated to plant 60,000 longleaf pine seedlings in Florida’s Torreya State Park.

This conservation effort helps protect forest ecosystems, supports delicate wildlife communities, and repairs the planet for future generations. Restoration is an important part of bringing back longleaf across the southeast which is why Georgia-Pacific and our cellulose business is proud to partner with Eastman and The Longleaf Alliance on this project where wildlife will benefit from this ecosystem.
