(3BL Media / theCSRfeed) Vancouver, Canada – February 29, 2012  The GLOBE Foundation, organizer of the world leading GLOBE™ Series of conferences on the business of the environment, and EPIC, Western Canada’s largest sustainable living expo, is proud to announce the finalists of its 10th annual GLOBE Awards for Environmental Excellence. Considered the most prestigious national awards series of its kind, the GLOBE Awards recognize outstanding Canadian companies that have successfully merged daily business practices with environmental stewardship.

For more than 20 years, GLOBE has acknowledged what today’s leading companies consistently demonstrate – that sustainability is crucial to the corporate world. Past award winners include elite companies such as VANOC, RBC Royal Bank of Canada and EnCana Corporation.

The 2012 GLOBE Awards will be presented on Friday, March 16 in Vancouver at the Closing Luncheon for GLOBE 2012, the international conference and trade fair on the business of the environment.
