(3BL Media) Alexandria, VA - July 11, 2012 - As part of an expanding portfolio of services Global Impact provides to charities and corporations, the organization has acquired The Consulting Network (TCN) to form a new consulting group, the Global Impact Consulting Network. This new division of Global Impact was launched on July 1.

The Global Impact Consulting Network offers an expanded range of corporate consulting services for the design and execution of corporate contributions programs, community relations strategies, and employee engagement and social responsibility programs with increased capacity and resources. In addition the Global Impact Consulting Network provides services and solutions for major social causes by creating strategic philanthropic investment opportunities, coalitions, partnerships and joint ventures between private enterprise and nonprofit organizations.

“As consultants to Global Impact, I have had the opportunity to work alongside John and his team for more than 20 years and, therefore, know the value of the reputation TCN has earned in the corporate and nonprofit marketplace,” says Renée S. Acosta, Global Impact President. “We believe joining the resources and skills of TCN with the team and experience of Global Impact provides a successful and exciting new venture to help companies and charities work to solve some of the world’s most pressing problems.”

TCN founder John Coy oversees corporate consulting efforts for the new group and plays an important role in working with nonprofit organizations seeking to develop private enterprise partnerships and ventures.

Global Impact and TCN have 80 years of combined experience working with hundreds of the world’s most admired companies and major charities. The merger expands TCN’s role and range of services to help companies be more responsive to the social causes challenging their employees, communities and business environments. Global Impact provides the additional expertise, talent and access to take what has been created by the TCN team to the next level, especially as corporations and nonprofit organizations respond to new Community and Social Responsibility platforms.
