Global Citizenship at PepsiCo

Global citizenship is the term we use at PepsiCo to describe philanthropic programs that help deliver Performance with Purpose – PepsiCo’s goal to position the company for long-term, sustainable growth by aligning what’s good for our business with what’s good for society and the planet.

Through grants, volunteer programs and in-kind donations, we strengthen our relationships with the communities we serve and provide our employees unique opportunities to give back, while building skills that enable them to develop as leaders.

Sue Norton is PepsiCo’s vice president of Global Citizenship and vice president of the PepsiCo Foundation.  We asked Sue about PepsiCo’s approach to global citizenship, and how these programs align with PepsiCo’s long-term goals.

Q:  What is PepsiCo’s citizenship vision?

Norton:  Our goal is to support Performance with Purpose by serving as a catalyst for the development of game-changing ideas that benefit the communities we serve around the world.  That means we look for opportunities to support new breakthrough ways of solving societal problems – the kinds of ideas that may start small, but can ultimately fuel systemic transformation on a large scale.
