For most people, supporting sustainability as a responsible citizen and consumer is what's possible to do. This is the central idea behind the Rainforest Alliance Certified's humorous campaign Follow the Frog that took place during the week between September 17 and 23, but which carries on the organization's website.

The social media campaign encourages shoppers to choose products that feature the Rainforest Alliance Certified green frog seal as an effective action to make a contribution towards preserving habitats. The label is found on coffee, tea, chocolate, fruit, furniture and paper and is a household mark for sustainable consumers world over. Products featuring the seal come from farms and forests that meet a set of criteria that protect wildlife, soils and waterways. It also takes into account socially responsible aspects of production, including the well-being of workers, families and communities.

Domtar is one of the companies supporting the initiative. The company, which specializes in fiber-based products, has worked with the Rainforest Alliance for many years on responsible paper production and fiber sourcing. In 2005, Domtar and the Rainforest Alliance signed a collaborative agreement when the EarthChoice product line was launched. The agreement was renewed in 2009.
