Combined Federal Campaign-Overseas Names Winners of First Annual Art Competition

Seven Grand Prize Winners, All K-6 Students, Help Inspire Giving for the CFC 50th Anniversary

(3BL Media / theCSRfeed) Alexandria, VA  - September 30, 2011 - The Combined Federal Campaign-Overseas  (CFC-O), managed by Global Impact, announced today the winners of the inaugural CFC-O Elementary School Art Contest. Contest judges recognized seven Grand Prize recipients from entries received at the kindergarten through sixth-grade level in Department of Defense Dependent Schools (DoDDS). Contestants submitted original artwork to help inspire giving for the CFC 50th Anniversary, tailoring their drawings to illustrate the contest theme: Make a World of Difference. 

The CFC-O Local Federal Coordinating Committee (LFCC) in Washington, DC, chose one winner from each grade level to receive a framed copy of their illustration and an Award Certificate signed by Louis Torchia, Executive Director of the CFC-O LFCC. Winning submissions will be featured in CFC-O promotional materials, on Facebook and on other websites, throughout the campaign.    “The outstanding participation, and the quality of the art submitted, models the spirit of giving we hoped to inspire with the First Annual Art Competition,” said Victoria Adams, Executive Director of the CFC-O. “Each drawing reminds us that we can each Make a World of Difference, at any age, time or place throughout our wider communities.
