(3BLMedia/theCSRfeed) June, 2010 - Beyond Barriers: Photographs from the Frontlines of Health is an eye-opening exhibit of stories and images that form a narrative map of the people, organizations and communities that make up the frontlines of health in Canada.

Captured by award-winning Canadian photojournalists, the Beyond Barriers exhibit conveys the challenges experienced by Canada’s health practitioners (doctors, nurses, social workers and others) as they work tirelessly in street clinics, inner city hospitals, rural community health centres and remote outposts to provide quality healthcare to the geographically, culturally or socially isolated.   The exhibit celebrates the success of frontline practitioners, shines light on their stories and supports their efforts to move beyond the boundaries of mainstream healthcare and make a difference where the needs are greatest and the system is stretched most thin.   A limited number of invitations are available for members of the public to view the exhibit and attend a special reception taking place at the Canadian Public Health Association Centenary Conference. The reception will feature remarks from leading frontline health practitioners and will be held on:

on: Monday, June 14

from: 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

at: Sheraton Centre Toronto - Vide Foyer
