DENVER, June 11, 2019 /3BL Media/ – Nearly 100 members of Arrow Electronics’ Young Professionals Group teamed with Wish for Wheels to build 40 bikes for low-income children in Denver. This marks the third year that Arrow employees in the company’s Centennial, Colo. headquarters have worked with Wish for Wheels to expand healthy living opportunities in low-income communities.

Wish for Wheels provides new bikes and helmets to students at Title I elementary schools in the metro Denver area to promote a healthy lifestyle at a young age. The nonprofit’s unique model bundles corporate philanthropy, team building and employee engagements through collaborative bike builds.

Since its founding in 2004, the organization has given away more than 30,000 new bikes and helmets.

To maximize its impact, Arrow provided a financial match to Wish for Wheels for the team’s volunteer efforts through the Arrow Charitable “Dollars for Doers” program.

Arrow employees from around the world regularly work with local nonprofits, extending the company’s collaborative and innovative culture into the broader communities where they live and work. Learn more about Arrow’s Corporate Social Responsibility program by visiting
