Analyst, Standards and Measurement Position Available at Committee Encouraging Corporate Philanthropy

Feb 16, 2011 10:00 AM ET

(3BLMedia/theCSRfeed) February 16, 2011 - CECP is seeking an inquisitive and dynamic Analyst to support the global expansion of the Corporate Giving Standard (CGS) measurement initiative, the industry’s leading online philanthropy benchmarking and reporting system. Implemented in 2001 to provide companies with a tool to measure and contextualize their charitable contributions, participation in the initiative has grown to include more than 170 companies that collectively account for more than 40% of reported corporate giving in the United States. Due to the lack of international consensus on what is considered philanthropy, CECP will utilize its decade of experience in valuing, reporting, and analyzing corporate giving to develop a framework to measure corporate contributions on a global scale, ensuring meaningful and reliable quantitative benchmarking across countries and economic contexts.

A newly created position reporting to the Manager of Standards and Measurement, the Analyst will become a corporate philanthropy valuation expert and build relationships with the world’s leading corporate giving professionals. To directly support CECP’s mission, the Analyst will help companies make the case for increasing the level and quality of their giving programs by identifying the relevant story in the data and providing ongoing training and support relating to valuation and reporting. As his/her familiarity with CECP and the field of corporate philanthropy grows, the Analyst will play an increasingly strategic role in sustaining the global expansion efforts and will be a critical driver in advancing the field.
