May 5, 2021 /3BL Media/ - In 2020, the UN Global Compact Network UK’s Black Lives Matter & Business webinar series attracted 3700 registrants and featured contributions from 20 dynamic expert guest speakers. Inspired by the positive feedback from the business community in the UK and beyond, we have launched a second Black Lives Matter & Business series, supported by HSBC.

The next webinar in the series, Black Lives Matter & Business: Products and Services, will take place on 18 May at 14:00-15:30 BST. This webinar will explore the opportunities and risks linked to the inclusion or exclusion of Black people in research and development processes of products and services, including but not limited to digital technologies and retail.

This event will be followed by:

  • Black Lives Matter & Business: Marketing and Communications, 17 June, 14:00-15:30 BST
Reviewing the current state of Black representation in marketing and communications in different sectors and exploring the opportunities this presents, as well as how to avoid blunders, misrepresentation, and cultural insensitivity

  • Black Lives Matter & Business: Supply Chains, 13 July, 14:00-15:30 BST
Exploring the commercial advantages of supplier diversity programmes and inclusive procurement, particularly regarding the inclusion of Black-owned businesses in the supply chains of larger companies

We encourage you to register for these webinars and learn more about our work on this issue area by visiting our Black Lives Matter & Business webpage.
