The 3BL Media video team was on location at the 2012 VolunteerMatch Client Summit to capture footage and insights from the annual event. This series of videos captures comments from thought leaders and practitioners about effective community involvement programs.

New York University, one of VolunteerMatch’s Campus Solutions partners, really cares about the volunteerism of its students and staff. Adam Ebnit, Associate Director of Student Activities at NYU, attended the 2012 VolunteerMatch Client Summit in San Francisco and gave an excellent video interview.

In the video Adam talks about how partnering with VolunteerMatch has enabled the school to “create a seamless environment for students to connect with volunteer organizations.” The tool allows NYU to connect students with opportunities both in the New York area as well as all over the world, while also enabling the administration to manage school-run service projects.

Adam also describes the newly released mobile app that NYU created using the VolunteerMatch API. The app will help students sign up for volunteer opportunities and log their hours on the go.

“What VolunteerMatch has been able to provide the students,” says Adam, “is that opportunity to connect with their passions.”
