Will the U.S. Sign a Climate Suicide Pact?

U.N. Secretary-General Ban-ki Moon recently called the world’s current economic model a “suicide pact” owing to the unsustainable stress it puts on the environment, enriching a few in the short-term while paving the way for global warming to end civilization as we know it within the next few decades.

Some in the U.S. House of Representatives, then, seem to be loading their guns and getting ready to go out with a bang.   I’m talking, of course, about the recently-announced Interior and Environment Appropriations Bill, sponsored by “Tea Party” advocates, which if approved would eviscerate the EPA, impose a yearlong moratorium on emissions reporting for some industries, and loosen restrictions on the dumping of toxic waste such as mercury and formaldehyde in lakes and streams around the nation.   Read more...   ABOUT Good Business International Good-b aka Good Business International, Inc.™ is an innovative new media company based in New York City dedicated to building a better world through sustainable business.
