Sports fans do not need to resign themselves to old-school hot dogs that are champions in cholesterol​-​raising ​content​. These days, sports venues are ​embracing​ a healthier, sustainable food catering ethos​, giving fans more options.​

Earlier this month, Animal Welfare Approved hot dogs and burgers debuted at the 64,000-capacity ​​Edward Jones Dome​ in Missouri​, which is home to St, Louis Rams. The certified meat is being served by stadium concessions thanks to the efforts by Delaware North Companies Sportservice and AWA-certified Shire Gate Farm.
