See what the ENERGY STAR® label means to you

We've all seen the ENERGY STAR label on products for years. But do we really know what it means? And what is the advantage of buying a product with their label? ENERGY STAR is an international symbol for energy-efficient consumer products. Qualified products, such as appliances, offer consumers savings of as much as 65% relative to standard models.

Purchasing LG ENERGY STAR products helps all of usOur ENERGY STAR qualified products can cut household utility bills while reducing the impact on the environment. For example:

ENERGY STAR qualified refrigerators are 20% more energy-efficient than the minimum federal standard. Choosing a new ENERGY STAR qualified model rather than a non-qualified model can help you cut your energy bills by $130 over the lifetime of your fridge. A new refrigerator that has earned the ENERGY STAR designation uses less energy than a 60-watt light bulb run continuously.

ENERGY STAR qualified clothes washers use about 30% less energy and use more than 40% less water than regular washers. Replacing your washer with an ENERGY STAR qualified clothes washer can save up to $30 each year on your utility bills. Over the life of your new ENERGY STAR qualified clothes washer, you'll save over $315. With your water savings, you could fill a backyard swimming pool. Learn more about our ENERGY STAR partnership.
