CAMPAIGN: Arrow's CSR Mission: Innovating Today

My company, Arrow Electronics, is likely older than you are. For the last 80 years, Arrow has been supplying components to technology innovators around the globe. We happen to think that these innovators deserve much more ink than they’re getting — and not just electronics innovators, but all the innovators who are making the world a better place. #Whyisit that glitz and glamour outrank brains and breakthroughs? #Whyisit that crime outshines true brilliance? So our quest has begun to unearth and elevate the remarkable people who are contributing so much. Perhaps you are one of these people, or perhaps you know — or know of — someone worth a mention.

Sustainability is rife with innovation, so help us single out those advances that nobody has told us about. I am especially interested in innovations that help us reclaim more materials and in nontoxic materials that can replace toxic compounds in electronics manufacturing, like the electronics from milk created by heroine of innovation Anke Domaske. I’ll be on the lookout at the Emerging Green Conference, where tracks on emerging technologies, safer chemicals and critical materials might surface some suspects.

If you’d like to tell us about someone you know, nominate a great innovator now, and please also drop me a note at to tell me about your nominee. Can’t wait to hear about the great innovators out there!
