Donating your status update for diabetes

Novo Nordisk’s 1,000,000 Blue Circles for Change campaign features a Facebook application on Novo Nordisk’s Facebook page that encourages visitors to donate their Facebook status.

Each Facebook status donation promotes a ‘1,000,000 Blue Circles for Change’ image and healthy message that appears on a user’s Facebook wall encouraging  others to donate their status and pass on the blue circle before 14 November.

The campaign reinforces the International Diabetes Federation’s diabetes education and prevention focus. Campaign messages include universal access to essential diabetes education, overcoming stigma and discrimination faced by people with diabetes and awareness of lifestyles that lead to health risks. Other social media channels, including Twitter and Pinterest, will also be leveraged to encourage people to upload photos of celebrities wearing the blue circle pin.
