Pivot Launches in New York City and Boston on RCN

Network Aimed at Millennial Audiences to Bring its Popular Series, Movies and Documentaries to Viewers at Home and on the Go

New York, NY, August 4, 2014 /3BL Media/ – Participant Media’s television network Pivot today announced that it is launching on RCN’s system in New York City and Boston in August.  Offering a diverse slate of programming aimed at Millennial audiences including critically acclaimed series HITRECORD ON TV starring, created and directed by Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Please Like Me created by Josh Thomas, Pivot is now available in SD and HD to viewers in Boston and will be available starting August 19 in New York City as part of RCN’s Digital Cable TV package on their Signature tier

Pivot is also rolling out its authenticated App in the two cities ensuring customers can watch their favorite series, documentary or movie on the network anytime and anywhere.  And Pivot TV’s on demand programming will be available to RCN customers.

This month Pivot is launching several new series including the second season of its critically acclaimed show Please Like Me, and the workplace comedy Human Resources - both on August 8.  The Operatives, an eco-adventure series following Pete Bethune (Whale Wars) and his team of elite conservationists begins August 17.  Launched a year ago, Pivot focuses on entertainment that sparks conversation and inspires change through a compelling mix of original programming, popular movies and documentaries. Its affiliated website TakePart.com presents in-depth stories and information that encourages audiences to go deeper into issues and take action.
