(3BL Media / theCSRfeed) March 30, 2011 - On February 28, 2011, International Corporate Philanthropy Day, CECP hosted a convening of over 70 industry-leading CEOs from around the world to discuss the topic of "Business at its Best: Maximizing Long-Term Profitability and Societal Impact."  The 6th Annual Board of Boards CEO Conference, held at the McGraw-Hill Companies, provided a forum for rich discussion about how to leverage a company's core function so that the needs of society are met alongside with the needs of the business.

According to Indra Nooyi, chairman and CEO of PepsiCo, "corporations should take accountability for their impact on society," which is why in this closed-door CEO conference much of the conversation focused on how corporations can satisfy the needs of communities in which they work and operate into their core business practices.
