On 3 November 2011, global sustainability organisation International Business Leaders Forum - with the support of Accenture, Ashridge Business School, BrandPie and Shell UK - will host an invitation-only dialogue for 30 CEOs, Board Members and Senior Executives to debate the leadership priorities for smart, inclusive and responsible growth. Taking place at the Shell Centre in London, the event is aimed at:

  • Sparking debate between leading companies and thinkers

  • Framing the critical questions about future growth 

  • Defining leadership priorities to meet new challenges

  • Generating new ideas, opportunities and business models

Explaining the context of this dialogue, Clare Melford, CEO of IBLF said:  "This discussion comes at a crucial time for business when the need for smarter, more inclusive and more responsible growth has never been more evident."

Clare will open the event, presenting ‘Leading Smart, Inclusive & Responsible Growth – the IBLF view’. The programme for the day is then as follows:

  • Smart Growth (Achieving more growth with less resource use): A conversation with Jan Muehlfeit, Chairman of Microsoft Europe and Peter Lacy, MD of Accenture Sustainability Services EALA

  • Inclusive Growth (Including low-income people in the core business proposition): A conversation with Neville Isdell, Former CEO, The Coca-Cola Company and Chris West, Director of the Shell Foundation

  • Responsible Growth (Business encouraging responsible consumption)A conversation with John Brock, Chairman and CEO of Coca-Cola Enterprises and Doug Miller, CEO of Globescan (who will present the results of the latest Globescan/SustainAbility poll on sustainable consumption, conducted in partnership with IBLF)
