Campaign: K-12 Education

As part of DIRECTV’s support of K-12 education, during the 2013-2014 school year we piloted a new program to provide career education to students at Bright Star Secondary Charter Academy, a high-need charter high school in the Los Angeles area. Participating students were exposed to a wide variety of careers — some which require a four-year education and some that require technical education or that could be pursued as a viable career out of high school. Students visited a DIRECTV office for six hours a week over a nine-month period and received class credit for participation.
